Behind All Stars Clubs CIC is a passionate team of dedicated staff and volunteers who believe every child and adult with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) deserves the opportunity to shine.

CHAIRPERSON

I’m very passionate about helping others and I volunteer at other local groups that have supported my son over the years. He has Angelman Syndrome and is non verbal. This lead me to become a Freelance Makaton Tutor within Dudley. I also work as a TA in a local SEN school and work as a carer in supported living.

Behind the scenes I keep DBS applications and team training up to date. I also assist with bids and emails for the groups. I am self employed and run my own entertainment business as well as being a busy mom of three.

In this role I deal with the finances, bids, grants, banking and accounts. This keeps me very busy alongside looking after my SEN son. I’m very much behind the scenes but I do have a passion for arts and crafts and like to help in the group sessions when I can.

I work in a local SEN school and I have volunteered and supported All Stars Youth Club for many years. I find it really rewarding and love what we offer the children. It’s great to see them happy and socialising with each other at our group sessions.

I am a Postal Delivery Officer and also help organise events and front of house at Dormston Theatre, Sedgley. I have an SEN son who attends All Stars Extra sessions. I am an enthusiastic team member throughout the All Stars Clubs but volunteer weekly at All Stars Youth Club.

I have been a volunteer at All Stars Youth Club for a few years and love meeting and working with the children. We try and encourage independence when the children arrive with money to spend in the tuck shop. It’s really rewarding to see them improve various life skills within our group.

I have studied for three years doing football coaching at University – as this is my passion. I feel that supporting SEN children with activities and sport is key. I have a non- verbal SEN brother and have helped at home over the years alongside learning Makaton.

I am a steward at the Utility Arena, Birmingham and am very passionate about theatre. I have an SEN brother who keeps me on my toes. I’m also an Explorer leader at a local Scout group.

I have been associated with All Stars for many years and now I volunteer at All Stars Youth Club. I enjoy supporting other children who sometimes struggle with the activities. I enjoy crafts and attend other SEN groups within the borough.

I work full time and am a busy mom for my daughter. I was within the group of original founders of All Stars and as it has expanded I have become the team lead for All Stars Extra and help behind the scenes with bids. My role is mainly supporting the adults with SEN in the community at our discos.

I enjoy volunteering at All Stars Youth Club because it has built up my confidence to help the children with the activities  and games that are set each week. I love learning and there is always something new going on. This is a great opportunity for me.

I regularly support the adults at All Stars Extra at their discos. I enjoy helping them to become more confident and independent in a public setting and seeing them all have a fantastic time.

 I have been with All Stars since the takeover in 2021 working hard behind the scenes and volunteering weekly. I run various SEN supportive animal group/therapy sessions and I am a busy mom of two daughters who both help me out with my animal ventures. My eldest daughter has Downs Syndrome and has driven me to become proud of what we have achieved. Due to travelling distance now – I volunteer as a lead when cover is needed in any of the All Stars groups.

I have volunteered at All Stars Youth Club for many years. I am a busy mom and enjoy attending the sessions when I can to help and support the children to join in and socialise within the group.

I am a dedicated mom to my SEN daughter (and my dog). I  like to help parents/carers out and offer advice when I can. I enjoy helping on a weekly basis to support the children with the activities planned at each session.

I first started volunteering for my Duke of Edinburgh Award. It has helped me build my confidence and I enjoy helping with all the weekly activities. Now I volunteer weekly and enjoy seeing the children having a great time.
